We've made it easy for you to contact the people who need to hear from all of us...

One Click Method

Congressional Contacts  |  Fisheries Contacts

We can bring our situation to the attention of the Senators and Congressmen from Florida as well as Fishery officials

involved in the regulatory process and perhaps shake up some of our own elected and appointed officials to actually work for their constituents instead of just for well financed special interest groups.

It is currently working for New England fishermen, no reason we can't make it work for us.  One thing we CAN do is tell the truth about the flawed data that NMFS is about to close us down with, and try and get as many people to get that information in front of as many important people as we can.

(Incidentally, if you are not familiar enough with this issue to be comfortable sending messages to these contacts, the issue and our position are  summarized here.)

If you look at the Contacts link on the main menu of the website you can get to the Congressional Contacts and many of the NMFS and NOAA Contacts that we need to send messages to.  Going to each contact will bring you to a page where all you need to do is copy and paste some example text, fill in your own information and click a button to send the message to the people who need to hear from all of us. You can also get to those Contacts from the links at the top of this article.

The link to "One Click Method" takes you to a page where you can send one message to all the Fisheries Contacts we have listed by just filling out you name and email address and clicking once.  You can send the message "as is" or edit it before you send it.

To cover the Congressional contacts, you will have to go to a few Contacts in order to get everyone that you need to cover but please take the few minutes it will take to get them all.  If anyone wants to donate about $10,000 so we can hire Convio to do it like the enviro's do, just send the check right along but for now, you will have to go to a few spots to get it done.

You should send a message to ALL of the Fisheries contacts, both Florida Senators and the Congressional Representative from your own district.  If you aren't sure what district you are in, there is a map below.  As of right now you can send to all the fishery contacts in one click and the Senators are finished as well as all the representatives from Gulf Coast districts.  If you are aware of any other Fishery officials or Department of Commerce officials we should contact and you have their contact information, please use the Contacts links to send that information to me, the webmaster, and I'll put it on here as well.

And lastly, spread the word.  Get everyone you know to fill in and send these messages.
